Sigve Tillier is a young, Norwegian designer-in-the-making, currently attending the “Visual Communication” program at the University of Bergen, Norway.

Tillier has previously compared his ethos to Kanye West’s grime inspired rap track, “All Day,” which was co-created with legendary musician Paul McCartney, a premise that creates a connection between two seemingly contrasting worlds.

This premise is as often as possible present in Tillier’s work, and one that defines him as much as the metaphors onto which it is portrayed, such as a screen-printed Louis Vuitton hoodie or grafitti on the walls of an art gallery.

It should come as no surprise then, that Tillier’s self-proclaimed mentors are to be found either within or in extension of the hip-hop community, as well as the one of high fashion, and that the work he feels justified in adding to the world is heavily influenced by these worlds and also define the output Tillier takes most pleasure in creating.
